    Access to justice for everone In Europe, 69% of people aren't able to access any help in case of legal issues. Change is needed and governments and official organisations have the power to initiate this shift and to establish a culture where everyone has access to the legal support they need. ​ Lawren.io assisted in creating this change. How Belgium lowers the barrier to justice And how Lawren.io was able to help In 2019, former Minister of Justice, Koen Geens, and the Flemish Bar Association contacted Lawren.io to find a solution to the problem that many Belgian residents did not have easy access to legal help when they needed it the most. This resulted in the idea of creating a virtual assistant to help people easily find a (Pro Bono) Lawyer. A virtual assistant guiding litigants towards a Pro Bono lawyer How does it work? 1. Virtual Assistant People who think they might be entitled to a Pro Bono lawyer go to the digital legal assistant on a website or web portal. ​ 2. Assessing Eligibility ​ Based on a few questions, the digital assistant assesses the eligibility. If eligible, users get info on where and when to go to meet a Pro Bono lawyer. ​ ​ 3. Digital Application Users can file their application digitally, upload documents and make an appointment. ​ ​ 4. Central Logging ​ All applications are stored centrally, if needed per location or based on other parameters. ​ ​ 5. Built-in Analytics Get insights on key metrics (usage, applications,...)     Kinderen toegang geven tot het recht via i-ACCESS Bij Lawren.io geloven we in gelijke toegang tot het recht voor iedereen, en zeker ook voor kinderen. Enter: i-ACCESS; een AI-driven oplossing om kinderen eenvoudig en veilig toegang te geven tot hun rechten. Een EU project, ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Terre des Hommes. Lawren.io werkt sinds enige tijd samen met de internationale kinderrechtenorganisatie Terre des Hommes aan een nieuw EU project om kinderen in Griekenland, Roemenië en Bulgarije te ondersteunen bij het verkrijgen van snel en eenvoudig toegang tot hun rechten. Kinderen zijn vaak niet op de hoogte van hun rechten en dat kan hen in kwetsbare situaties brengen. Daarom zijn we trots om als technische partner betrokken te zijn bij dit project en een oplossing te bieden in de vorm van een interactieve chatbot. Met de ontwikkeling van onze AI-tool, maken we het voor kinderen eenvoudig om informatie te vinden over hun rechten en hen in staat stellen om in een vertrouwelijke en kindvriendelijke omgeving vragen te stellen. We hopen hiermee de emancipatie van kinderen te vergroten en hen te helpen om voor zichzelf op te komen. Samen met Terre des Hommes en de andere partners geloven we bij Lawren.io sterk in de kracht van technologie om positieve verandering te brengen in het leven van kinderen. We streven ernaar gezamenlijk impact te hebben op het verbeteren van het leven van de kinderen in deze landen, met als doel dit vervolgens te lanceren in heel Europa.
